During a meeting about strategies for an upcoming event, it suddenly struck me how nowadays we can think of marketing just like a Cubist: coherent parts of a whole, yet multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. A big fan of visual art, perhaps I had temporarily forgotten about Cubism—that major 20th century artistic movement—for a year or two until a recent news item about the rather large donation to the Metropolitan Museum in NYC of works by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braques, two pretty well-known artists responsible for major contributions to the Cubist movement.

It's hard to believe that a little more than two weeks ago, I put my seat back and tray table in its upright position and headed back to Chicago from a whirlwind EXHIBITOR2013 in Las Vegas. My first time at EXHIBITOR (and my first as a booth staffer) came and went at the speed of what felt like the blink of an eye. With the crazy month of March finally behind me, I've had a couple of weeks to reflect on this epic trade show adventure that gave me such an invaluable and unforgettable learning experience.
